Start your real estate career in Queensland with the Real Estate Registration Certificate — the minimum requirement to work as a real estate salesperson, property manager, or administrator within an existing agency. This course is designed for those ready to take their first step into the property industry, with flexible delivery options, no exams and full trainer support.
Course Units of Competency
Upon successful completion, you’ll be issued a Statement of Attainment for the following units from the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.
- CPPREP4001 – Prepare for professional practice in real estate
- CPPREP4002 – Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
- CPPREP4003 – Access and interpret legislation in real estate
- CPPREP4004 – Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
- CPPREP4005 – Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
- CPPREP4101 – Appraise property for sale or lease
- CPPREP4102 – Market property
- CPPREP4103 – Establish vendor relationships
- CPPREP4104 – Establish buyer relationships
- CPPREP4105 – Sell property
- CPPREP4121 – Establish landlord relationships
- CPPREP4123 – Manage tenancy
Career Pathways
Once you complete your course, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment, which you’ll submit to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to apply for your Registration Certificate. With this certificate, you can begin working in the industry immediately.

Course FAQs
What course do I need to work in Queensland real estate?
To work as a salesperson or property manager in Queensland, you must complete the Real Estate Registration Certificate Course and then apply to the Office of Fair Trading for your certificate.
What’s the difference between this and a full licence?
This Registration Certificate allows you to work for an existing agency under supervision. If you want to run your own agency or work as a contractor, you’ll need to complete the full licence qualification.
How long do I have to finish the course?
You’ll have 6 months from the date you receive your login. The course is self-paced — many students finish earlier depending on their availability and experience.
Do I need to sit any exams?
No exams. The course includes 7 sets of open-book assessments, completed through our online learner portal with support from experienced trainers.
How do I apply for my Registration Certificate?
Once you’ve completed the course, apply online or in person with Queensland Office of Fair Trading, including your Statement of Attainment. Approval generally takes 4–6 weeks.
