Course Units of Competency
Upon completion, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment covering the following 10 units (which form part of the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice):
- CPPREP4001 – Prepare for professional practice in real estate
- CPPREP4002 – Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
- CPPREP4003 – Access and interpret legislation in real estate
- CPPREP4004 – Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
- CPPREP4005 – Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
- CPPREP4125 – Transact in trust accounts
- CPPREP4161 – Undertake pre-auction process
- CPPREP4162 – Conduct and complete sale by auction
- CPPREP4163 – Complete post-auction process and contract execution
- CPPREP5006 – Manage operational finances in the property industry
Career Pathways
On successful completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment, which you can use to apply for your Auctioneer Licence through the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT).

What is a Real Estate Auctioneer Licence?
It’s a legal requirement in Queensland to auction property. This course gives you the nationally recognised training you need to become fully licensed and confident conducting auctions.
How long do I have to complete the course?
You have 6 months to complete the course, but it’s self-paced — so you can finish sooner depending on your availability.
Do I need to sit any exams?
No. The course includes 4 open-book assessment sets, completed through our interactive learner portal with trainer support every step of the way.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is for current real estate agents, sales professionals, or those looking to specialise in auctioneering. No prior auction experience is required.
What happens after I complete the course?
You’ll be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the 10 units. Submit this with your application to Queensland Office of Fair Trading to obtain your Auctioneer Licence.
