STEP 1: Eligibility & The Office Of Fair Trading
Handling property is a lot of responsibility, so the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has some eligibility and suitability requirements. Also there is a myth you must apply with the REIQ to start in real estate and that is not true. You must apply to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to gain your real estate licence, they control the property industry and licensing here in Queensland.

STEP 3: Apply For Your Licence
Once completed your course and you have been issued a Statement of Attainment from Validum you must apply to the OFT for your real estate licence. This procedure can take over six weeks, so be prepared. You’ll be required to present identification, for example, birth certificate, driver’s licence, passport or citizenship certificate. STEP 4: Which Role Is Best Suited To You
